True sampling rate in DirectSound

I have found that creating an 8-bit buffer that has a sampling rate of 11025Hz and a size of 11025 bytes does not loop once a second, but rather a tiny bit less. I think this is due to th 11025 just being an approximation. Could anyone post the true sampling rate for 11025Hz, 22050Hz and 44100Hz.
