MSVC is the best C++ compiler I''ve worked with - Builder is niec bt you have to pay $500+ to get all the capibilites of MSVC (like importing a type library).

Hallo!
There is a little cheaper way at least in Europe maybee in the States or Canada to. You can purchase a student license of Visual Studio and then you get all the mayor developing programs.
The Student License is much cheaper then the ordinary versions.

If you''re broke, you can get a copy of the Borland C++ compiler for free at www.borland.com. Or you can also get mingw32, it''s a free c++ compiler. Most of the people here have bought their versions of Visual Studio or a version of their prefered compiler. You can do the same...

I think you all just got taken! Who would ask such a dumb question where can I get it for free or download? Knowing well that it runs into the thousands for the enterprise edition and hundreds for the professional edition. Thats like asking where can I download the fullversion of 3DS ver 4.0?
