hi guys. im trying to make a pocket tanks like game to learn directx better. the only problem is that i am a terrible artist. does anyone have any images they would be willing to give away for free? those images will NOT be used commercially. i just need some pocket tanks like images to work with.

Hmm, i think the Hard Vacuum tileset which you can find Here will suit your needs. There's also the sticky at the top of this forum, "Sprites, Sprites, and More Sprites!", and a few other places around.

Conversely, you could try learning Pixel Art for yourself at places like Pixeljoint, which has a some good tutorials in their features section.
