Plot
Worcester priced himself as an adaptive person. He learned not to complain and to accept the environment and the duties he had. He learned to make do with the little resource there was on the Albatross and the barren Earth. Conserving is a virtue, but he dismissed his preferences in doing so.
In particular, Worcester had little appreciation of good food. This was odd considering that Albatross has fresh produces. He wouldn't care less eating fresh versus the synthetic. This made Allisa angry when she learned it. It was such a waste. Allisa was angry that worcester got to eat good food and he didn't even appreciate it.
Allisa couldn't believe it. She knew that Worcester has favorite food. She knew that he was merely dismissing his preferences to appear above worldliness. She seized every chance to tease him about it. Although the more she teased him the more he believed that he had no preference.
His lack of appreciation affected Crista when she came onboard. Crista herself did not mind Worcester's lack of taste that Allisa poked fun at until they discovered that Worcester liked Little Red Riding Hood's pastries. Crista was never good at cooking anything but suddenly she felt the urge to.
Crista had believe that Worcester had no taste. When she figured that he had it, her competitiveness turned on and she was determined to capture it. Crista can't lose to a little girl, even though she had centuries of experience.
During her attempts to excite Worcester, crista learned that she had a crush on him. She enjoyed it at first but then she felt the embarrassment and anger when Worcester was as enthusiastic as she hoped. At one point Crista got mad and challenged the Little Red Riding Hood. To everyone's surprise, LRRH accepted it with full competitiveness. "Bring it on!"
Worcester tried to tell Crista that it was a ridiculous contest. Crista told him to shut up because it had nothing to do about him. She had an issue to settle with Little Red. It was a contest that no one could call off. To settle the difference in experience, Crista imposed a rule that LRRH must cook something she had never done before. LRRH accepted the rule.
Crista and Worcester started to reflect on themselves afterwards. Crista wished that she was less jealous and possessive. Worcester wished that he was more sensitive and appreciative.
It was almost time for the contest. Everything was prepared. Crista was determined to win. When it was time for the judging, they learned that Worcester had been deployed and could not be back. Even without a judge, Crista must admit that LRRH cooked better. LRRH knew that Crista wished that Worcester was there.
LRRH suggested that they deliver the food. Crista naturally dismissed that idea since she couldn't move very well. LRRH insisted and recruited the help of Vermilia.
LRRH's timer was running low and Vermilia could only take one person. So Crista flew with Vermilia. While in the air, Crista felt so small compared to the land below. The contest seemed out of proportion and childish.
When they got close to the site, the data started streaming in through Suzaku. Both Vermilia and Crista checked in and started working. Worcester recognized her and worked with her like how they had always worked together.
At the end of the night when everything settled down, Worcester apologized that he left without telling her. He thought that it would be a quick task. Crista remember the food she made and realized that the ground had already started eating. Crista fought the crew to get Worcester what she made. Worcester said it was good and especially appreciated she came to the site. Crista wanted to get him to eat what LRRH made also but they were all gone.
But Crista knew that they shared something unique that could not be compared to anything else.
