Anyone know what a PSW is and what it''s used for? Big Bry bryan@hcss.com

Well, PSW could be anything, depending on where it''s used.

Most likely explanation I could find in a programming context, is that PSW is ''Program Status Word'', which is the flags register on the x86 CPU... But maybe I''m completely wrong

That''s what I came up with. To the people asking me (Electronic Arts) I''m going to look like a goof. I said I had heard about it but didn''t come into contact with it that often.

Oh well, there are other jobs.

Thanks for your reply.

The chip set I''m using at the mo has a Processor Status Word
Funny I thought it stood for ''persistent-state world.''

Electronic arts are the biggest goofs there are so I wouldn''t worry about it - believe me you are better off not working for them.
I already work for the biggest goofs in the world. We make software for the construction industry. BORING!!! At least games would be something interesting. But thanks for the info, I''ll keep my eyes open.
