Slow GDI Textout()

uh, I got some question about the GDI Textout function. I use Textout() function to display the context in my GameEngine... but it actually slow performance... Does any other way to display context quickly ? thanks a lot and sorry for my poor english.
Uh, yes, make your own font engine. Whether your working under Direct X or OpenGL or whatever i dont know. Explain a little more, that way we can help you better

Why does everyone assume that English is the only language spoken here? For example, me espeako el spanisho.
Of course there are going to be multi-lingual people just about anywhere you go, but as for the assumption that English is the primary language here... perhaps it came from the fact that the entire site is written in English.

In fact, I''m a Taiwanese so that my game based in Chinese. so what about the font engine in unicode? also make my own font engine and font image libary? ....uh, that''s pretty huge work.


Yeah, writing your own font engie is the only way to go really if you any sort speed. It shouldn''t be too difficult if you use fixed pitched fonts. Just need to map each character in a string to the appropriate bitmap representing it. However, if you want a proper font system then that will probably be quite a bit of work.
