Ogg Vorbis?
Hi all. I wondered if anyone have any experience with Ogg Vorbis? I've just downloaded the SDK and have planned to implement Ogg Vorbis support in my engine instead of MP3...
Could Ogg Vorbis be used for games? or is it not suitable for that.
I've read some docs about it, and surely it seems cool. Especially the fact that it is open source, and no one will demand me to pay licenses or such - I've understood that you'll soon have to pay a fee to Fraunhofer, if you're using MP3 in you programs... is that right?. ...
enough
btw, check out http://www.vorbis.com

Vorbis should decode at roughly the same speed as mp3 IF the decoding algorithms are optimized. Now they weren''t as optimized in one could wish in beta 3 (beta 3 of the official vorbis sdk that is), but that might have changed since I last checked (current version is beta 4 right?).

From the sky filled with the fumes of a billionarie''s cigar to the deepest abyss drenched in nuclear waste. A rich kid was a happy kid, oh..dirty, filthy times. Let this be a reminder."
