Making games is very interesting. The only thing I've done is an RPG on my younger sister's RPG maker. Other than that I play lots of games. I find it funny when people give me the reaction of being surprised that me a "girl" plays a lot of video games. However I may be behind at the moment. My main reason for this board is to ask: "How can I get into the testing games job?" I really want to do this, but haven't gone to school for it yet.

That's not entirely true. There may not be schools for QA specifically, but there is a degree for QA.

If the game designer is the chef, the programmer is the oven mechanic, and the artist is the butcher, then the QA staff are the abattoir workers. Furthermore, the junior QA staff are the ones who have to sort the sphincters from the intestines.

Why aim for a job in the slaughterhouse when you can work in the kitchen?

There are game tester ads on TV???

Every time someone mentions TV ads for game schools or QA, it makes me wonder what the heck they are talking about. I've seen some ads for DeVry before, but that is about it.

I do, and judging by the curriculum it seems that this would be poor preparation for any software development QA career.
