Well for VB class we need to make a project, i choose to do a game FFish, 2d, plz no rants on the VB or FF. There will be no magic or ranged weps, or armor, or weapons. Well just the basics. I''m trying to figure out how to do towns like they were done when the games where made and doubt its possible to be done in VB, but i thought id''d ask. I''m wanting to put things like this in http://www.reinerstileset.4players.de/, altho i''m unsure if i can get that to function properly with image controls, any clue, i was thinking i can make my image huge and just use image controls, altho i would need to know how to get the image to jump to certain spots on the image, like the town part of the image and such. Please any help, questions or comments are welcome. i''m basically making a fighting game with hp, xp, gold and thats bout it, towns and such as well. The design isn''t that hard, just need help with da code. Gorf
I''m sure you can do everything you need with VB since I know you can do 3d games with VB. Since you haven''t been getting any responses you might want to try one of the programming forums.

Wrong forum, this belongs in general programming...

People might not remember what you said, or what you did, but they will always remember how you made them feel.

It's only funny 'till someone gets hurt. And then it's just hilarious.Unless it's you.
Sure, you can do this. You can still use DDraw or whatever if you want in VB, or you can use BitBlt on a PictureBox control.

Good place to get VB help is www.vb-world.net , and the forums at http://forums.vb-world.net
