Has anyone had a chance to look at the OpenAI project and post some thought on it? thanks, liquiddark
No Excuses
I looked at it. I noticed it did not mention anything about belief systems, meta reasoning, formal logic, production systems, knowledge bases, common sense reasoning, or NLP. In fact, the only two words on the whole site which perked my interest were agent and inference. They both appeared on the same page and were each mentioned once, with no explanations regarding their development.

Oh well, just my opinion.

I know that I asked the question, but:
This has to be a frustrating attitude for the guys over at the project.

Did you tell them that this was your impression? If the system is going to be a truly open effort, then at least your opinion and preferably your efforts on SOME front would be valuable.
