Hi I am trying to remember what the piece of equipment is where you draw on it, and your lines and stuff appear directly on your screen? I draw really well; but when I scan stuff on its dirty from smear, so I want to draw directly into my software program, I just can't remember what the flat thing is you use. Also, any good ideas of where to purchase one for a good price? Thanks!
it's just called a tablet. Although there are more expensive ones where you draw directly on a pressure-sensitive monitor called table PCs

I want to help design a "sandpark" MMO. Optional interactive story with quests and deeply characterized NPCs, plus sandbox elements like player-craftable housing and lots of other crafting. If you are starting a design of this type, please PM me. I also love pet-breeding games.

Wacom is a synonym of tablets. Their tablets are the most top quality you'll find, its really highly recommended. If you are a serious artist, to start I think a Wacom Intuos3 4x5 or 4x6 is very good, but if you have money to spend, buy a Wacom Intuos3 6x8 and you'll have more space. Take alook at the Wacom homepage for more info. . .
.
Seriously, if you are still at the point of learning what it's called, get a Graphire, they are dead cheap and I'm been freelancing on one for years.
