Anyone know how to save or backup customizations (custom toolbars, options, general schtuff...) in MSDEV?? I''m one of those developers who likes to do a clean sweep of the old hard disk once every couple of months and I''m getting tired of re-customizing my IDE. ... ????? Thanks...

There are global IDE settings and there are settings local to the project/workspace your working on. Some are easier to get to than others.

You might find some global settings under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\DevStudio\6.0 in the registry. You might be able to export this branch and then import it after an install.

The file with the extension .opt includes several options specific to a particular project or workspace.
