Collecting Concepts ( Are you creative? )
I''m looking, as the subject of this post already says, for some innovative game concepts.
I had some concept ideas in the last days, but everytime I realized that my imagination wasn''t compatible to my skills.
Now I''m asking you:
Do you have a ''free'' game concept for me?
It shouldn''t be too difficult to realize, cause I''m just gonna do the design part (3D models, sprites etc.) and I still need a capable programmer...
Oh, and excuse my bad english
Sorry me engsh is bad..

spacemadness, I didn't expect such a reply.
I know that many people ask the same question like i did, and that it looks like that kind of
" 'Oh, cool, a game writing forum, why shouldn't I post something?' "-posts,
but hey, damn!
Ok, I'm gonna correct my question offering my artist skills to anyone who's working on a little game and needs someone for the graphics.
*And please, stop flaming*
Moreover, whats wrong in excusing my not-really-perfect english? Just because it's not my native language it doesn't mean that I'm not serious

Don''t you ever shut up or do you need to get your ass kicked? If so, I can arrange that for you! I''m sure I''m not the only one that feels the way I do anyhow. Now stop bugging the newbies or the people who offer their services. How old are you exactly? I bet you''re probably some 12 year old dumb ass kid who thinks he knows anything but actually don''t know shit.
anyhow, get a freaking life! Dumb ass..
all the others: sorry about the harsh langage but hey, he deserves it and he''s really getting on my nerves... Sorry again...
"And that''s the bottom line cause I said so!"

snow, are you just looking for a rough concept, a setting, a detailed design, or something else?
Most folks around here have notebooks filled with creative ideas - more than they can ever get finished. I don''t mind sharing.
You could also look around at other games, both computer and non, or start from a book that you like to help spawn the ideas.

JSwing, I was looking for a rough concept.
One of my ideas in the last days was some kind of turn based
strategy game with some innovative aspects (I don''t want to explain it closer), but it''s still an idea and not a finished concept.
Now I''m searchin'' ideas for concepts like that (every genre is possible).
PS: Thanks for your respect

Here''s a scrap from one of my games notebooks. Feel free to develop it since it''s one I probably won''t get around to.
The setting is the Faerie''s Grand Ball. It''s a big social event, with representatives of the other fae groups present. The player selects a character from a preset list of guests.
At the ball, someone murders the fairy princess in her room, just minutes before she was due to make a grand entrance.
The local police (or equivalent) round up the player and a few other NPCs (10-12) as potential suspects. The game ends when someone is declared the murderer.
Here''s the twist : the player is actually the murderer and has to try and pin the blame on someone else.
Gameplay is broken down into 2 parts. Part I the player has to murder the princess. Depending on the character chosen, different paths are available. A goblin might be strong enough to climb the walls, an evil fae might use some sort of disguise and sneak through the kitchens, and so forth.
There should be several NPCs as well as general ''chorus'' representing nameless folks at the ball. As the player moves from room to room, other folks will wander around socializing and may notice the player''s actions. They can then later testify about what they have seen (Part II).
The purpose of this is to lay out a path that the player will have to cover up in part II. There should be several possible paths.
Part II happens after the body is discovered. Up to htis point, the various NPC can testify to the police about what they saw. Think of it like Clue in reverse - the computer plays the clue detective, trying to find a murderer.
The player of course can lie to the police. He can also plant evidence on others, try and blackmail NPCs to change their testimony, and hide his own evidence.
The NPCs should be more than a simple fact dispenser - they each have their own motivations and political causes. This makes the player''s job of pinning the deed on someone else more interesting and lets you come up with some unique characters.
The game ends when a murderer is declared and arrested - if it''s the player, he loses.
I picture it as an adventure-type game. Static backgrounds for different rooms and NPCs that wander around on the screen. Inventory and conversation system, and a computer AI for the detectives, but not much more.
Feel free to use it if you like, no strings.

Brilliant idea, JSwing. If that''s not complicated enough, the player might be "competing" with other characters attempting the murder. Then, there would be more than one trail of clues, and the killers could team up against the police or try to get the other one caught or pretend to team up and betray each other. You know, that sort of thing.
