XSI Foundation 6.0 problems

Hi, after evaluating different modeling software, I finally decided to buy an XSI licence. I got my package yesterday, installed it and played around a little bit. Now, I've already seen this in the trial version but thought it might be related to that version, but my licenced version has the same problems. Perhaps you can help because my first contact with support wasn't that helpful. 1. The package I got was version 6.0. The trial version was version 6.01. Support told me that there is no "patch" but one has to fully install 6.01. Can I simply use the trial download for that matter? 2. I've put some boxes and other objects into my scene. Now, I wanted to switch the perspective view to DirectX10 real time renderer. All the objects disappeared from the view. Switching to DirectX9 gives the same result. Once I select the OpenGL real time renderer, the objects are rendered. Is there any way to use the DirectX10 or DirectX9 real time renderer? 3. I've a strange problem with the selection box you can pull within a view. When I have no objects in the scene and I pull a selection box, the background will be "erased". The area of the selection box doesn't seem to get repainted. When looking at the videos (on the training DVD) I see that the selection box actually should be translucent. But on my machine, it's totally covering the background. Another strange thing: If I resize the views and then I pull a selection box over an area of the screen where another view has been before, the selection box shows the border of the old view. Has anyone seen similar problems? Does anyone know how to solve this? BTW: My machine is a E6400 Dual Core with 2 gig Ram, 8800 GTX running Vista. Thanks, Metron
