hey I have a question, I am in ch.4 of tricks where you draw programs..I am trying to just draw a circle but I can''t seem to do that...I would like if someone could show me how to create it, the book really doesn''t show how to just make a regular circle that doesn''t move that just stays one place on the screen..Also, the program 4.4cpp I am trying to add a second circle to that, program..Can anyone show me how to go about doing that, thanks a lot...Here is the code to the program with only one moving ball.. ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // DEMO4_4.CPP - Ellipse Animation Demo // INCLUDES /////////////////////////////////////////////// #define WIN32_LEAN_AND_MEAN // just say no to MFC #include // include all the windows headers #include // include useful macros #include // very important and include WINMM.LIB too! #include #include #include // DEFINES //////////////////////////////////////////////// // defines for windows #define WINDOW_CLASS_NAME "WINCLASS1" #define WINDOW_WIDTH 400 #define WINDOW_HEIGHT 300 // MACROS ///////////////////////////////////////////////// #define KEYDOWN(vk_code) ((GetAsyncKeyState(vk_code) & 0x8000) ? Too lazy to think!
GDI right??? just use the Ellipse like this :

The Ellipse function draws an ellipse. The center of the ellipse is the center of the specified bounding rectangle. The ellipse is outlined by using the current pen and is filled by using the current brush.

BOOL Ellipse(
HDC hdc, // handle to device context
int nLeftRect, // x-coord of bounding rectangle''s upper-left corner
int nTopRect, // y-coord of bounding rectangle''s upper-left corner
int nRightRect, // x-coord of bounding rectangle''s lower-right corner
int nBottomRect // y-coord of bounding rectangle''s lower-right corner
);
