OK, I have just read about the new game, "Serious Sam" (that is the name, isn''t it?). I am thinking, now, this company has made their game to get excitement from having heaps of enimies at once... Now, most other FPS do things like the bad guys sneeking up, or hiding to produce the most adrenilan(sp?) rush... I am thinking, what is an engine like the serious engine, being used for such an odd game style.. But realy, what would you prefer? more enimeies (SS), or smarter, more supprising enimes (Unreal, etc) ANDREW RUSSELL STUDIOS
Quanity is not better, its an advantage imo. Where as quality is merely quantity with more appropriate structure. So really what you are saying is like would you prefer one of the rooms in your house well lit or all the rooms dimly lit. Sometimes you may want one while other times the other may be better.

Example, if in a game the enemies could only melee then intelligence is not a big issue. The more opportunities an enemy is exposed to in a game then the smarter you would want them to be otherwise it will seem pointless and boring to the player becuase they will exploit these opportunities and win too easily. Unless the game can''t be won like the ole gauntlet games etc.
