Icky Windows
Hey there! I''m more interested in programming for consoles rather than in the Windows/Linux formats. I''m going to be going to the Digipen Institute of Technology soon, and I figured this would be a good time to ask this...
As far as console programming is concerned, should I learn how to program in DOS, or is it related more to the Windows/Linux side? If I should go with DOS, does anyone have any suggestions as to good books to buy to help me out (all I can find is on Windows programming)? Thank you!

Well,
I would say, stick with Windows/Linux - since many consoles have aninternal OS that sends messages back and forth (much like windows).
Also, DOs is Dead, it wont help you to learn DOS in the game programming market nowadays - since it is geared more twards windows users now than anything
Oh and hey,
Has digipen filled out its seats yet? I applied, but have yet to get a reply :/
