I approached the GD.net staff member in charge of the workshop several times about resolving this little issue, and the last time I was told by 'him', and this is a quote: "of all the unimportant stuff I need to take care of here at GD.net, your workshop is the least important."

Wow - I thought you had way more support than that - a lot of the moderators seemed to be helping you out. After it had hit like workshop 10 I thought that you would have proven how much work you would put in enough to become a mod or something. The hours of work you put in to all that stuff was quite obvious. I mean - you've added to the googlabilty of the site for one thing! [Google] game c++ workshop

Surely that's got to be worth something to the good folks here.

Astounded. Such a sustained presence in Microsoft forums would have probably have earned you a MVP.

To be frank I expect anyone thinking about contributing to a C# one would have second thoughts here at gamedev.net after what you said here.

Well I'm sure many people appreciated the workshop, for what it's worth!

Just to make sure it's not missed: I've responded to some of this in another thread.

jwalsh, having met Mr Superpig in London and having been a member here for years, I can safely say that reply I think was a tad out of character. He's said some mitigating circumstances in that C# Workshop thread.

Was still a rotten thing to say, and I would be bummed if I got a reply like that, but I guess it sounds like he tried to sort it and has tried to apologise for it.

Yes. I will be posting the remaining chapter threads tomorrow, and renaming the threads based on Chapter Content, rather than chapter number, for easier use.

Cheers!

Hello jwalsh,

If it's not to much trouble, could you please post your answers to the Quiz questions for Chapter 6 & 11 + your solution to the Exercise.

shawnre and I are following it and it would make it easier if we could compare our answers and solutions to yours.

Thank you.

The remaining chapters have been read, and the corresponding chapter threads posted. The moderators will soon move them over to the C++ Workshop forum.

Once all the threads are moved over here, I will rename them something more helpful than week 1, week 2, etc...

Thanks again for all those who've followed the workshop, and read the postmortem.

There's a strong possibility I'll run something like this again some time in the future. But I can't at the moment.

Cheers!

Thanks for the final chapters jwalsh, I'll surely tackle them once I get there, almost finished on chapter 7 and starting first on the questions and exercises from the book before going to your questions and exercises.

In case you haven't noticed, could you please take a look at the chapter 6 & 11 Quiz and Exercises thread. We would appreciate it if you could post your answers to the questions and exercise of those chapters so we could compare our answers/solution to yours.

Thank you very much.
Johan

JOBe, feel free to post your answers, and myself and the community members will be happy to tell you if the answers you provide are correct or incorrect. =)
