Sprite ripping???
Ok, eversince I got my first Amiga, I was always wondering if I could find any Another World sprite sheets for the computer. So far no luck, so I figured, I have to create them myself. But I had no luck finding a program able to emulate (?) Amiga ROM's and not even the ROM I needed. So I still have nothing. Ofcourse I googl'd and searched on this site, but there was nothing usefull. Thats why i was looking for a forum that could offer me some help with this, and I found this one. So please, Help?
The main problem you'll run into is the fact that these things are questionably legal at best. Barring you owning a copy of the game you're trying to rip from and having made the rom yourself, you won't be able to use the sprites in any context anyways, due to the intellectual property laws involved.

If i understand this site correctly, Another World uses polygons for its characters as the developer explains Here.
For somewhat similar styles though you could check out Cell Shading and Vector Art. For what its worth though I agree with Dnarna, your better off making your own original art than trying to rip them.

GyrthokNeed an artist? Pixeljoint, Pixelation, PixelDam, DeviantArt, ConceptArt.org, GFXArtist, CGHub, CGTalk, Polycount, SteelDolphin, Game-Artist.net, Threedy.
I feel like there's bound to be a way to pull the data out of this 100MB Pak01.pak file (I have the newer PC version of Another World - bought it a few months back).
Of course, any sprite art is fairly easy to separate from background art if you can take screenshots of some sort, and you can then drop it into your own work.
I don't imagine using the sprites would be legal, but hey.
