Animated characters into my game engine..

I'm currently building a game engine where by i need to use some animated models i've put together in 3DSMax.. My engine can so far load in .x files and I can display & transform them.. I did some reading up on the .x file exporter that comes with the DirectX SDK and found out that apparently its not very good with eporting animation data.. Since i'm using character studio for my animations i was wondering if there maybe an exporter that is more flexible in terms of preserving character studio animation information into the .x file for use within my game engine?
