My friends and I are making a comical game with a different kind of an ending scene: instead of some cutscene, we are going to make an interactive newspaper, where the headlines are relevant to the storyline, but all of the other articles aren''t. The game player will click somewhere on the newspaper and the article will appear so that they can read it. In addition to our already strange/irrevelant/satirical/humorous ideas for sideline articles, does anyone else wish to assist us by providing us with some hilarious/original/satirical/pointless ideas for the articles in our newspaper? We prefer the ones that poke fun at traditional video games (in the strategy genre). By the way, what does everyone think of this idea? int * Cheese = NULL;
int * Cheese = NULL;
The old game SimCity used this concept, except I think the text below the headlines were empty. There were some pretty funny sim-specific headlines.

I''m thinking of something similar (news briefings generated by a strategy game), btw, so I''m biased towards saying it''s a good idea. Mine will all be serious (wars, famines, etc), though, so I''m not sure I can help you in the humor department.

it sounds to me like serious wouldn't really apply to this cheesy game (i'm an insider, the game is deffinatly cheesy, and i have the right to say this, i'm programming the cheesy AI).

Also I don't don't think it's quite an interactive newspaper, becuase you probably don't accually interact with it (it seems kinda liek talking to wall), insted it probably is a dynamic (i'm not sure if that is the best word to describe it) newspaper, becuase it will , i'm guessing, be based of the events in the game.
