does anyone know of a good drum sampler like battery? I would buy battery but I was recommended a free one and it did the job. The reason I need to find a new one is because the free one Im using now has some glitches here and there...all it needs to do is load wav files...I have sfz sampler that came with sonar home studio xl but you can only load one sample per instance. I need a vst plugin intended for drums that lets you load a bunch of wav files at the same time. It doesnt need to come with any samples I have the 808 library and some others I can load in.

I don't remember exactly, but is the free one the GTG Drum Synth? Was I the one thatt referred you that one?

yeah thats the one...i couldnt remember where I heard about that one. It's really cool but it freezes sonar up now and again and the only way to fix it is to shut sonar down and restart.

Shouldn't do that, but free VST's don't typically have the same level of compatibility. I have Sonar 4PE and it runs fine. Does Sonar Home Studio come with Cyclone? 4PE does and it is basically the same as the drum synth but with a different interface. More of a traditional sampler interface

Plunking down the money for Battery -- or, better yet, Kontakt -- is probably worth it if you're serious about your VST music making.

home studio doesnt come with cyclone...I was trying load a sample of high pressured steam as my snare and it kept messing it up. it seems like it only messed it up with that sample so far though so maybe its a fluke.
