Does anyone know of any links to any freeware converters that will make XP icons out of bitmaps? If not, even just some links to information about the new icon file format would be a good start. Ta

You don't happen to know how you set the transparent colour for an icon saved with Photoshop do you?

Just use the eraser tool and make sure the canvas is set to transparent. If there are no pixels on the canvas when you save the icon it should be transparent (well it was for me).

Edit: Just tested this, works fine. Just need to make sure the transparent areas appear checkered (or however you set your canvas) before saving.
