Commando type level Idea
A few weeks ago I posted a question of what game to build with the enviorment that I have. You start with about 15 tanks (of different types) on a 3D map. You fight against other tanks and can destroy enemy buildings. You can't build your own buildings. Almost everyone recomended a commando type game were you have to do different missions. I think that thats a good idea but I'm having a hard time thinking of a "level" = a main goal and all the "subgoals" needed to win. I had one idea of a main goal - there is a control staion that commands a satalite armed with nuclear weapons aimed at the US. Your job is to take over the station and fire the weapons at the enemy base. At the end there would be a cool movie showing the earth and the satalite from space, and then zooming into the enemy base and watching the nuclear explosion. But thats only a main goal, I'm having trouble making a map with different subgoal that have to be done in a certain order to win (taking out power stations, enemy troops..). Can anyone give me some ideas? Or maybe you have better ideas for the "maingoal"? Please ask any questions needed to clarify this. Thanks.

- capture science facilities to obtain new technologies? (better tanks)
- capture a rally point of enemy?
- defend an enemy siege on vital rally point?
- capture a moving rally point (supply vehicle, nuclear truck, spy)?
mainly my idea of basic subgoals is built on 'capture', 'defend', 'destroy'. Most subgoals can be categorised into these 3 objectives.

Thanks, can you explain some more about rally points and what they do?
