I remember back in the day and I found animator. Hard to work with and learn. I recommend checking out www.blender.org. It's a great tool with lots of support and updates. There are lots of tutorials around for it.

NBA2K, Madden, Maneater, Killing Floor, Sims

Well, for all of you that are on the negatives,I only just turned 14, taught myself, use a crappy animator (so that was the bes i could do) and don't forget it isn't completeley finished

Well, then good job. But really, there's no advice we can give you right now that isn't painfully obvious even to you. Finish it, and get back to us. We'll be a lot more useful to you then.

Also, the thing is incredibly short, lengthwise. At first I thought it was just the weird view, but no, it's just really short.

If you're looking for some better 3D programs, check out the 3D & 2D Software Information thread (stickied in this forum) by Veovis. You'll find free modelers that will do wonders, cheap ones that are easy to use, and super-functional expensive ones.

It's cool that you're getting started at 14, and I know it's hard to teach yourself. I and a few others made this when we were in 7th grade, with no instruction. It's so pitiful (and at low-res, but that's because I'm hosting it), it's funny [grin]. I still have the dog and armadillo models on a diskette somewhere. I tell you, 3D Studio was hard to learn back in the day when tutorials didn't exist [wink] (it was legal, mind you, but the school's copy didn't have tutorials for some unknown reason).

okay, i downloaded blender and i have no idea how to add it into blender so i can model it or whatever its called

oh and its not supposed to be a jet, and it WAS my first one
Alright, but this is a rocket [grin]. One fin on a rocket would be a spinning disaster!

If you're going with Blender, you'll have a good bit of work ahead of you. You might want to start from scratch, actually. It's not an easy program (but oh so functional).

"i'm only 13"

Are you trying to imply you are some precocious genius? Stop being an attention whore because what you've done so far is not remarkable in the least way.

No, its his justification for not being very good.

Well it is justification but he's using it as an excuse and that doesn't work. So however justified he may be, this is still a bad model and shouting "don't say it's bad I'm just a kid!" isn't helping anything.

The approach one should take in that situation is to accept that the model is not very good, and no excuse will make it good, but because he is young he has lots of time to improve his skills and get better. At this point, he can do so by using reference pictures and more complex shapes instead of basic primitives.

Learning how to type capital letters and periods would help a lot too.

Well if its not that good to begin with whats the point of showing it off in the first place? I'm confused now.
