A few simple octree questions

Firstly, what format is an octree map file? Secondly, what programs ( map editors ) save in these file formats? Hope someone can help. Thanx in advance. ~Cobra~

never heard about one looks like u have to write your own, which shouldnt be to difficult

i know how octrees theoretically work. but i cant use this info to build my own. and use it. is there anything NON-theoretical stuff about that ???
