Ok I finally found deled, and finally got it to work! Spent 2 hours learning and doing tuts, and here is a screenie of my 2nd level I have ever made. I can safely say I enjoy making levels much much more than programming :-P http://www.xiemsoft.com/ss7.png
clicky

Well, it's awfully dark. I think it looks pretty good anyways, but it's fairly basic so far.

It feels great to have a level though, doesn't it! [grin] Keep it up!

yes it does =)

I am very pumped up about it, especially with the feedback im getting from numerous people.

2 more screenies of same level.

In the 1st one you can see the grid from the modeler.

Just kidding, looks cool. Something with a little more contrast would be nice though. :)
I hear ya.
The only decent looking textures that came with deled were dark brick like ones.

Ill have to download some good new ones.

Or grab your digital camera and go on the hunt for your own textures. :)

By the way, in the screenshot where the grid is visibile, it appears as if deled only allows 90-degree geometric bends. Is this the case?

Lol I couldnt tell you...
If you are implying that my level is made of rectangles then you are correct, thats just how advanced I am :-P

Actually, many the samples of DeleD that I've seen appear to make heavy us of rectangular primitives. And in the screenshot you provded, your walls seem to follow the gridlines exactly.

I certainly wasn't implying anything about your level making skills! :)

And I was incorrect in the 90-degree bending - I've seen a few samples from the DeleD gallery that show more complex architecture.

lucky one...the part I hate the most when I'm making my games is when I have to make my models
I always end up like "hmmm...looks ugly...I'll just use this model as a test and wait for a better model"

but hey, for a first day it looks pretty good...
what software did you use ?

The wall that is facing towards the viewer, just a suggestion but maybe you should offset the texture so it looks like it repeated from the other face since it looks weird to me.
