Beat Master Ninja.
This would be a combination of an action and music game. Each person you hit is a musical note and depending on the moves/combo(s) you do on each person(s), it would create a song/beat/etc. The combat would be over-the-top like Devil May Cry, and really fast paced so you could execute combos (aka "songs") faster. You'd be able to slow down the rate which people come at you as well if you'd like to make a slower song. Ex. 3 guys are running at you (they're guitar notes) you hit them and you execute this really fast paced guitar riff. Then some more guys run at you (they're drums and keyboards) you do a combo on them, and it creates a drum and keyboard track to go with the guitar riffs. Depending on how you hit these enemies the way music played would be different. Say you uppercut someone it would make the riff higher and longer, but if you stabbed them it would make a short single note. Sounds like a cool idea (pun intended [smile]).
Are you planning on making this game yourself or just throwing it out there to see if people would like such a game?

I may make the game myself (when I learn how to), but for now I'm just seeing if others would like it.
I'd like to see this game set up as a system for learning to play the guitar, actually. Hook your amp to the "Beat Master USB Adapter" and fight waves of Pirates in a typing tutor-style sequence.
Multiple gametypes could include tutorial levels where you learn a few chords to bust a few pirates, endurance mode, which would be a sort of DDR gametype with pirates coming at you in waves, and a free-for-all that would encourage improvization. If you make some concessions to music theory in your gameplay, you could probably get it to sound cool and kick ass while helping emo kids build self-esteem and develop a semi-marketable skill.
That's what I call Real Ultimate Power!

I like the name of the game. Also one comment I have is that you should try to order the enimes in such a way that the player can make some really cool music without having to plan out his attacks too much.

Be interesting to pull off one of Paganini's Caprices in battle ;)
