If you want to make an RPG, or just love to argue about them.. you should check out this article on MSNBC.com.. http://www.msnbc.com/news/511182.asp It''s got a nice lil history and development of what RPGs were and what some of the prominent game reviewers consider to be an RPG today. It should make for interesting discussion if anyone''s interested. Although, notice that they said Baldur''s gate 2 is a 3rd edition AD&D rules game.. LOL J

Yes, Baldur's Gate II a licensed AD&D game, but it is NOT based on 3rd edition rules.

Actually, BG2 uses some 3rd edition rules... IT IS however a 2nd edition game, it uses some of the cool features of the 3rd edition (like prestige classes, it just uses another name for them)
