Sonar templates anyone?

I have just recently bought sonar (I felt trapped using flstudio) and realized that without a template, it would take another few months to fine-tune all the reverb and route the instruments, etc. If any of you use both sonar and gpo, it would make my life much easier if you could share your templates with me so I don't have to rediscover the wheel. Thanks.
Did you take a poke around Google and Deja for a freeware convertor utility / application?

P.S. Are the formats open and documented? A perfect job for C++.

I hate to say it, but I think you'll be better off re-discovering that wheel :)
I don't use GPO (EWQL Gold here), so my templates won't help. But, my templates are really basic starting points, and there is always lots of fine tuning to do - I don't think there's a way around that if you want a really good sound. There are different needs for every single piece that I do. You'll need different reverb settings for almost every piece - depending on which instruments and how many you're using.

I'm pretty comfortable with Sonar though, so if you need any help ask away and I'll help you if I can.
I'd have to agree that you're probably better off making your own. I use GPO and Sonar, too. I primarily use a default template of:

4 instances of the VST of GPO, along with 32 MIDI tracks appropriately routed to the GPO instances. Route each of the GPO instances through a different mixer channel and put your preferred reverb and any other effects on each channel. The first VST has the 'full' instruments for quick sketches, and then I load up the instruments I want for the piece, keeping the sections seperated by instance.

As DanaHawkes said, you're probably best off trying different things and figuring out what works best for you. Otherwise, I'm sure someone on the GPO forums at northernsounds.com has come up with a good set of Sonar templates if you still want some.

I tried going to the NS forums and searching, but to search they made you have to register. And to register, they require you to use your isp email, and I have no control over that.

You mentioned you had a template with some intruments loaded into different mixer channels. If I could use that, even though it may not be compatible with my genre, I would greatly appreciate having something to learn from. Thanks.
