Guys I''m ashamed to ask this but ... could somebody teach me what is vsync ? why should be sometime enabled and sometime disabled ? is it related to improving frame rate ? Thanks again !!!
Vsyncing basically means that you're synchronizing the game's update interval with the screen refresh rate. If you disable vsync you would probably get a higher FPS (well, not always...) but there would almost certainly be some flickering as a result.

Well, something like that at least

how do you enable/disable vsync?

why not enable it always since theres no point in drawing more frames if you monitor cant dispaly it rite?
because whyle you are rendering fast enought to draw 60 fps (or more), you get with enabled vsync 60fps, but, when you just have 59fps, your vsync slowes your engine down to 30fps (because you havent finished while beginning next screenimage.. so you have to wait one screenframe for beeing syncronical..)

and after the 30fps.. you stop at 15fps.. and no chance to be between

thats no good when your engine (or the game youre playing) is not so fast that it draws bout 60fps

we wanna play, not watch the pictures

If that's not the help you're after then you're going to have to explain the problem better than what you have. - joanusdmentia
