All I did today was put in a PCI Video Card (Nvidia GeForce5 5200). So I didn't change a thing in my linux system. In fact she was booting just fine moments before... Now during the reboot process, the last things I see is: "Activating Swap Space [OK]" Then the system totally reboots. I have three boot modes, they ALL result in the same thing: linux linux-nofb failsafe Can anyone help me out???? I'd rather not have the video card and still use Linux. I also do not care if Linux can use the full potential of the video card, I JUST NEED VIDEO! That is where I program 99% of the time.
Do you have the ability to boot up using a live CD and check your bootlogs (to see if there is a hardware failure someplace maybe)?

Yes, they where doing the same thing. The live boots just reboot during hardware check.

I just removed the card. Forget about fixing it, I need linux 90% of the time where I only game 10% of the time in windows.
