I just wanted to get people's feed back on some concept questions for my anime school sim. 1)All Girls School or Coed? 2)All the main characters have a secert identity and assoicated power such as alien and magic girl, which are derived from their mythos. Should mythos be part of the school eduction? Meaning that all characters will have special powers and abilites that they learn in school. Or should I keep it as is where only the main cast are special in that way? 3)Romantic Comedy or Drama in terms of the overall storyline?

For 1) and 3), I actually wouldn't really mind either way. I probably prefer drama to romantic comedy, but that's mainly because of the stigma of the overly formulaic romantic comedy movie (then again, one of my favourite films The Princess Bride could be considered a romantic comedy). However, since there aren't that many romantic comedy games that I've played (in fact, I don't think I've played any) then I wouldn't mind trying one. Drama is also good too. Maybe you can include strong elements of both?

Whether the school is all girls or coed will obviously affect how you write the story, but I can't really think of any reason to pick one over the other, so I can't indicate a preference.

As for 2) though, I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Are you proposing that the school is actually a training ground for children with special powers, similar to that in X-Men? If that's the case, I wouldn't really mind that as the basis of a game (it could be great), but for some reason I'm slightly more in favour of having "secret identities" for the girls with special powers. It's not a big preference, however, so I wouldn't really mind either way.

Sorry that I really haven't been able to indicate a preference at all here [grin]. Frankly I think I'd like to try your game whichever combination of story features you include in it.

Personally I think coed, mythos part of the school, and romantic comedy with moments of drama would be the most fun combo, but I would probably like either choice for 2 or 3 as long as they were done well. Wouldn't much like an all-girls school, sorry, an all-boys school would be more up my alley. [wink]

lol I played this one, where that happened. Your dood is a bit of a geek and he moves to a new school but unfortunately OH NO his student accommodation gets fudged so he bumps into an old school friend and she lets him stay with her and her friends...but he has to dress as a girl because its GIRLS ONLY student accommodation.
