Lost Surfaces in DX8
Hey all,
I just downloaded the DX8 SDK to have a look.
Now I never did this in DX7 either so I got nothing to look back on!
If the user alt-tab''s away from my app which is running fullscreen using D3D, when he comes back I notice all the surfaces have been lost.
The drawing functions still say OK.. where do I find out if any surfaces (textures) need to be restored? Also once I know I have to restore a texture, what do I do?
As far as I can ascertain, I just reload the texture from the file. I havent been quite able to see where the DX8 D3D sample code is handling the texture restoration.
