Quick Blender Question

I'm using Blender to make the models for my game. I'm writing my game in DirectX9, so all of my models need to be in the .x format. I already have a .x exporter for Blender, but it only gives the options of exporting to the DX 7 and 8 file formats. Is the DX8 file format still supported in DX9 (Summer 2003 version)? If not, are there any .x exporters for Blender that will export to the DX9 format? Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure, but I am in much the same situation (except I use Milkshape 3D's .x exporter). What you can try though, is exporting a full model to .x (I'd suggest DirectX 8), and see what it looks like with "MeshView" (included in the SDK). If you can't see any problems with it in MeshView, you can bet that the format hasn't changed very much at all, and it should load properly into your game.

Hmm... It won't load in mesh viewer, but I read an article just now on this site that says the exporter I'm using will work just fine with DX9. Oh well! [grin]
EDIT: Never mind, was using the wrong export option, it works!
