Technical Demo
I'll be attending the Austin Game Conference next week, so I'm sure I'll be talking to at least a few recruiters. If I've got a technical demo, do you think it is better to have CDs to accompany my resume, or is it sufficient to have the demo on a website where it can be easily downloaded (The demo isn't very large).
Speaking from experience, such people get overwhelmed by demo's so they certainly won't check out the URL you suggest to them. Make sure you have CDs with you and make sure they look very inviting.

If you can, get some of those printable mini CDs or business-card CDs. They should give you enough space and they stand out because they're not regular CDRs, plus they fit more easily into a pocket if you run into someone on the floor away from their booth/stuff. Include a small website on the disk about yourself, or at least your resume in a couple formats. html, doc, pdf. If you can whip up a quick autostart launch/install wizard it will look very professional.
