I don't konw Reason at all, but is there any way of manipulating the tempo, like drawing lines to make it go slightly faster/slower? I use Cubase SX, and on this you can simply add points and the tempo will shift accordingly.
Indeed, this is one of the features that Reason lacks - variable tempo. I think you can do it if you use Rewire to control Reason from some other MIDI software (such as Cubase).
On the subject of three hands - I noticed the fact it's not playable the first time I heard it - I just didn't think much of it. I do it a lot in my own pieces - I frequently have two pianos or two pianists (or, indeed, three hands [wink]).
Anyway, I did a side-by-side comparison of the old and new piece. I think you have added a little bit too much brightness, particularly in the bass. Probably should scale it back a little. There are a few chords that are now quite "stabby", something which was blended in more in the old version (good example at time 2:01). Presumably the old version had more "polish-time"?
I think that the few tweeks to the actual composition are good. Although I'm neither this way nor that about the removal of the third hand. Perhaps it leaves room for a nice cello?
