Cairo Lib (any comments?)

Ive never used it, any comments on it?
Seems very powerfull and smart (specially the backend thing)
but im afraid that its/will get as bloated as QT/KDE.

I've played with it. It worked ok, but the included SVG parser needed work and it doesn't support as many back ends as I would like.

I've heard that one of the next versions of Mozilla Firefox was going to use the Cairo graphics module. It's been ported to multiple platforms already and I hear it implements SVG graphics format quite nicely. I also have heard (from the documentation that came with it) that there is an OpenGL backend in the works for it for a cross-platform hardware acceleration boost.
