Memory Editor
For Windows, there exist memory editors that allow you to select a process, find a value in memory, then narrow down the search by finding for a value again in the results of the previous search after the value was changed, and so on. My favorite one (WinHack) also shows the complete memory layout of the program like a hex editor and allows you to edit all values.
Is there a program with the same abilities and the same easy way to search for particular values in Linux?
