i have an ADSL connection with a username and password, i want to use it to connect to the internet from my SuSE 9.1 installation....... i already did go through what i think is equivalent to "creating a new connection" in windows, but i didnt find any dialing feature,, can anybody just hint me to the right way?
You'll need to setup your network correctly. I think you can use YaST in SuSE. If you're using a router you need to set it to use dhcp, otherwise you'll have to assign it a static ip. But as for "dialing feature", don't you connect directly with your modem? My ADSL is at least like that, you open your webbrowser and login, or let your router do that for you. But maybe there's different types of ADSL? Anyway, you should just need to setup your network correctly, and then it should work. Sorry if this was unclear, but if you need more help you have to give some more info, about how you connect and such.
