http://www.cjwr.com/images/sword.jpeg i made this sword in about an hour. i know it is no where near professional quailty, but i thought it wasn't to bad. I'm a programmer by trade not a artist after all (though let me tell you, i have nothing but respect for all you artists out there. your job isn't as easy as i thought it was). I was just wondering if i could get some advice on what to work on in my 3d modeling. I'm basicly using 3d modeling to produced good looking 2d sprites for my game, if that helps you to answer my question. thank you for your time.

K, way.....too....flat....

There should be a large variation in width of the entire model. You know, it shouldn't be a flat line from handle to blade.

For a first model/first render, I suppose its pretty good.
