What do I need?
Im still trying to figure out what all I need to meet these requirements if you all could help me out... 1. Map/Character Designing (Making Maps, Characters, Beautiful Textures like Halo) 2. Movie Animations/Movie Designing (Like making movies to go with the game) I herd Blendor meets the Movie Animation/Movie Designing part that I want to do but doesnt do everything. Can you guys tell me some software that companies today use? Or if there are some replica copies that do just about the same what are they called and where can I get them from? Thanks GameDev Community!
1. Map design will depend on the type of game you want to create. More info?
If you want to create 3d characters / items for your game, you could do worse than 3ds Max (if money is no problem). There are various free 3d packages out there - blender being one of the absolute best. In terms of texture creation, or if you want to create 2d art in general, Photoshop is the industry standard. If you can't afford it, I believe Paintshop Pro is still quite highly rated (I haven't used it for ages though), and it certainly used to be reasonably priced. Otherwise, the Gimp is a great Open Source app for Linux which will probably do most of what you want.
2. Again, it depends entirely on whether you want 2d or 3d, and whether you're prerendering the movies or using the game engine.
Hope this is some help at least!

Everything will be 3D. As stated before stuff like Halo. I will be designing in a MMORPG that im creating. I have Blender and its pretty easy. Ummm I want to create 3D items, weapons, characters, menu backrounds, simple stuff like that. Anything in mind?
Whatever software you choose, you're also going to need lots and lots of time. At the beginning, everything is going to take about 10x as long as you think it should, and look half as good as you want it to. If you keep at it, eventually you'll get to the point where it only takes twice as long as you think it should, and look 90% as good as you want it to. ;)
FYI, characters do not fall into the category of "simple stuff like that"...

Good luck with it - I think that Logodae is right - the most important resource is time. Although I think given the ambitious nature of your target (and I don't think there's anything wrong with ambitious targets) you're going to need patience and endurance as well. I hope it works out for you. Good luck!

What about if the main race in the game comes from the planet cube - the cuboid people? They'd be pretty simple to create? Hee hee!

Modrons [grin]
(Now Planescape, that would make an interesting setting for an MMO...)
Now just mabey. I would love to make a FPS. But what kind? How would the story go. You guys post some ideas. Mabey someone here can bring out the next PlanetSide if you all have some good ideas. I downloaded Blender by the way, and was wondering if I can make characters and make them move and levels and stuff like that with just this one program? Or do I also need Photoshop (Which I have) so I can make the textures and stuff then apply them to the work?
PS: I finally made up my mind with sticking to Level Designer! What is the best program out there to do this. I keep hearing its 3D Studio Max or something like that. You tell me...

No. That's your job if you're making a game. We will help you refine your own ideas if you post them, or give input on specific areas if you post questions, but most of us don't really have time to pour at a list of random ideas which you may or may not even use. Ask us about something specific and you'll get plenty of input, or alternately, get one person to design something for you and they'll probably be quite happy to, on the basis of the fact that most of thier ideas are likely to be used.
As a Level Designer, you'll be given instructions by a programmer most of the time - they work on an engine, and provide you with (or in the case of an indie team, more often require you to have) the tools neccesary to design levels compatible with the game engine. Your job is to create the levels; design layouts that make sense and follow a coherent storyline, perhaps working closely with a writer on this process. You also actually create the levels, and test them to make sure they play as intended. Many games have thier own editor, and a lot of these have similar features - it might pay to try some of the editors out there for existing games of whatever genre you're most interested in (appears to be FPS). However, other tools (such as 3DSMax) are also very useful, depending on exactly what you're doing.

Ok lets drop creating the game part. I want to make the levels thats all. I want to be able to draw/create what I see in my head. But what do I need to do that program wise? Would this do?
1. 3DS Max (Creating the Level)
2. Photoshop (Creating the Textures. What else could I use this for dealing with creating levels?)
Im not sure but this is what I want to do. But where do I start? I know alot of Photoshop and create amazing things according to other sites. But what can photoshop also do dealing with level designing? What does 3DS Max do for me? Is this all Im going to need to start making levels for games?
BIG P.S.::: I apprecieate all of you guy's help!

If you can get past the initial 'omg teh intarface suxxorz' reaction and learn how to use Blender, then you'll find it's a powerful 3D modelling tool which is totally free and has great community support. As for Photoshop, you could also use Gimp, which is not quite as powerful as Photoshop but is free.
As for 'what each one can do for you', Photoshop (or the equivelent) is really only gonna be useful for making textures. For level design for a 3D game you'll need a 3D modelling package. Any (decent) package should do for design, as long as it can export in a format that your game will be able to read in. (ie. a format that's documented clearly somewhere so you can learn how to read it).
