HI, My name is Andrew York Due to a recent post ive decided to post again.. all can ignore my first post. Ahem Well. My Name is Andrew York and Im located in maine. Im a christian by heart and I would enjoy working with a group of christians. this post isnt for people to join my group but im wondering if a group wants to be formed or if there is already a group out there who needs a 3d and 2d Artist. (Im a horrible speller) First Because of my beleifs in christ I would prefere a light hearted game, Im a great fan of lord of the rings and Chronicles of Narnia. and for games my current favorite is Champians of Norrath, Mostly becouse there hero's to save the land.. Personaly I dislike games that allow you to do less moral things (However Im not apposed to them) such as games that encourage one to steal, Kill people for no reason or money, etc.. But again im a great fan of playing as Hero's.. or people who save and do good. Second. Im a big fan of Sci-Fi and Fantasy. Also a Big fan of Shooting games or Fased Pased Hack and Slash games. I do like RPG's however I prefere Action.. Even a Space game with Fast Flying Air Ships For Tool's. Unfortunetly I only Have Rhino 3d, and Truespace 6.0 for 3d.. and 2d im all set with Adobe Photo Shop. I have no college or any real experiense except working with alot of mods and stuff in the gaming community for Jedi Knight way back.. But I have kept myself upto date sence then on most everything in the graphics field and some of the technical side. I'm not saying I want to start a group or have a group go after my design.. I would rather join a group that has something going who needs a Artist.. (Mayby I should post in a different forum... (If you see andychat posting in help wanted then im just saying i want to help.)) I do have many game designs like most people do in my head.. but I do have a favorite game design on mine that I will share if anyone like.. Read on if you want to hear. Most people Know WarCraft 1 2 or 3.. a Real Time Stratagy game, or games like it called (Age of empires etc.) Most people might have played Zelda 64. or Rune.. those games are 3rd Person 3d Hack and Slash games. Well. think of the Engine, Economy and War System of Warcraft with the game play of Zelda 64. Think Fun Think of you on a Multi Player Game with upto 32 (or 64) other players.. Each Player controling one Character uniqly in a 3d Hack and Slash game world. Think that the armys of darkness are forming a power against you and you need to return the land back to the light and kill all the monsters. The Enimy uses a RTS style economy/military system in the 3d Action Game world. They need to build Hoouses to have more peasants. Mine for Gold and Stone.. Lumbar wood to build buildings and so forth.. you go out you can target your attack... Sneak past the build towers that cost the enemy stone, gold and time to build. and Destroy a Enimy building for training soldiers. You Destroy it and a few monster village workers as well costing the enemy Wood, Gold and food. which would cripple there economy.. at the same time worrying about your own teams resorces, becouse we all have resorces. Leave the enemy alone they can build a great Strong hold and a Even Greater Army to attack. If I was clear enough I hope people can see this might be a very fun game to play.. If not dont worry about it its just a idea. (Also I would think a game demo.. taking some basic elements of the game that are key to the idea. and creating a small game in hopes that a larger well funded game could be made.) Hear is some of my old Art Work. My New Art Work is alot better but I have nothing to finished to show right now.. I can do texture's well but I dont show it.. anyone wanting more artwork can mayby give me a idea of what they want to see and I can design it.

This sounds more like a Help Wanted post to me. You don't have to be asking for help in there, you can also put up a post listing your services. Good luck finding a group of christian developers though - there's a few out there, but it's a bit of a restrictive requirement.

As a Christian, I'd love to join up, but I live in Ohio, and it's not exactly my policy to trust a big project to people over the internet. (no offense, it's just my policy). Any chance you'd be moving soon?

I dint intend on making it a narrow post but just the only way I could think off.. But this seems to work better



To evan, It wouldnt have to be a big project (My wifes family is in ohio btw) but just a game demo.. that could serve for portfolio work and or getting a dream game design going big.
