This new site is designed for all that is audio in video games. Initially the site is addressing budding sound designers and audio programmers working on maps and modifications. Vance Dylan aka Sonic, The sites creator has been active in the audio for games scene for a while now and is seeing alot of sound guys starting out but are mostly using pre-exsisting sounds from other games and movies. "I'd like to encourage these guys to get out there and start recording, editing and creating their own sound and music." says Vance. "When I got into audio for games it was hard to find out basic info on how things are done and to talk with not only other guys doing audio for maps and mods but a chance to talk to some pros. This site is going to change all that and bring all these Sound designers together in one place." Some features being introduced now include..Video tutorials on field recording, gear, techniques, programming, recording from pros and site users. Bi-weekly showcase of sound designers and their work on maps and mods. Articles on how it's done in the real world, Tips and tricks. A toolkit containing free recording tools, SDK's, Free Sound Fx and Music. Links section where users can add their own links. Forums where users can post job wanted and jobs available, samples and more. Interviews with the pros like Tom Smurdon and Alistair Hirst and Chris Groegler. http://www.sounddesignresource.com
