Pixelerate
A new pixel art forum: http://drilleddice.azuretek.com/pixelerate/index.php This is a fresh, mainly, pixel art forum, though there is also room for other mediums. We separate ourselves from other pixel art forums in a large number of ways; mainly having an art requirement and 50% more goofyness. Feel free to browse around the site and see if this is of interest => We would love to have some more cool members who are not afraid of showing an effort when reviewing or posting art. Below I have posted the forum rules: Manifesto: man·i·fes·to A public declaration of principles, policies, or intentions, especially of a political nature This is our Manifesto. Read and understand it before you post! Welcome to Pixelerate! This is mainly a pixel art forum, though it is build so people can explore other mediums, which we believe can be beneficial towards growing as an artist. There aren’t many pixel art forums out there, which make it easier for us to put on original twist on what is expected of a pixel art forum. When joining this forum people are not obligated to focus only on this forum, we are just glad if you would participate in posting art, writing feedback and having a good time. When this is said there are some things you should put in mind: Accept and embrace the forum as it is or hit the road: Unlike other forums we actually expect something of the people who join. Since there are other pixel art forums out there we do not feel responsible for our actions, even if they, at times, may appear mean. This forum is build for the artist who IS an artist – meaning he or she already understands the principles and definitions of what makes art, so don’t post obvious questions about art. While this has been said we are obviously open towards suggestions and ideas that could be educational or fun, just as long as they do not strive against what Pixelerate stands for. Don’t post shit, unless it’s funny: Just don’t fuck around too much… We also expect the artist to show effort when posting art or reviewing it. Surf around the forum and the art or comments that you see should give you an idea about what we do expect, if you are not sure you could obviously try posting. Though if we feel it breaks rules, then we are going to act upon it. Art that does not fulfil our requirement based on our standards will be moved into The Swamp and the same goes for flame wars or anything that we think is unacceptable. In The Swamp people cannot edit their posts, and then they can stay there and roam around and people can get out with their emotions. We do not believe in locking posts since it is unfair that the mod always gets the last word, though if a post in the swamp becomes too destructive we will delete it, but we do it with a tear, since we don’t really want to delete stuff. If you feel inadequate to these requirements, then our advice is that you go look for another forums with a lower standard. “Yeah, but the rules said!?”: We don’t believe we have to write down a lot of rules since we expect the artist joining this forum to already have an understanding of behaviour and how things work in the world. Rules can be bend and twisted and thereby making this forum really inflexible. It is up to the moderator or a member who can reflect upon the situation to decide weather something is unacceptable. So I am going to repeat myself: “Just don’t fuck around too much” This forum is for artists: This forum is not for coders who are looking for artists to hop in and give them a hand. We do not care how much money or porn you are willing to throw at us => find another forum that has a section for “people looking for artists”. We just don’t give a monkey’s ass. I am not sure there is anything else to add, thank you for reading this and if you understand and agree with it. Then happy surfing around the magically wonderful Pixelerate forest.
