hello everyone i'm a programmer not an artist. soon i'm planning to start a new project where i'll be in need of quite a few 2d explosion effects. since i have very poor graphics skills i'd like to learn a trick or two how to make an effect or two. i searched the net for a while but that didn't produce anything useful. can someone please point some tutorials on explosions? thank's in advance peter

Not sure if you've checked this out or not, but it's definitely a handy tool for creating 2-d explosion effects. Make sure you check out the readme.txt to configure the explosions. When you're in the program, press enter to generate the bitmap, and esc. to exit.

ok then. i fing the explosion tool extremally handy. i have one more question though. is there anything that would do some similar animation efect but this time i'm in need of animated water. any info will be highnly appriciated. tutorials would be great.

yeah, it does but i think i'd better find some artist. besides, i've heard it's extremally difficult to make trully realistic looking animated water effect
