I'd like to use 2 planes textured with 2 scaled bitmap, they will the basis for my modeling. The problem is that 3ds max is using texture filtering and blurs the texture. I there a way to disable texture filtering only for any given materials?

Do you mean in the viewport or during a render?

There could be a couple of things causing the blurring in the viewports. Go to Customise->Preferences->Viewports->Configure Driver. Under there on 'Download Texture Size', make sure 'Match Bitmap Size as Closely as Possible' is checked. Also turn 'Mipmap lookup' to 'None' if you still have problems. That should remove the unneccisary blurring without actually disabling the texture filtering altogether.

Thank you! I'm not familiar with 3dsMax yet and I didn't found that drivers settings dialog box.
It worked but I also had to set "Texel Lookup" to "Nearest".
