Hi, I have problem with converting tank animated track into animated DirectX file. In 3D Max, I made a tank track with help of "path deform". Then I animated this track and in Max looks just fine. When I try to export with Panda DirectX exporter those track into .x file, I lost animation. Also, if in 3d Max convert animated track into mesh, animation lost to. Is there any solution, how to export mesh animation made with help of path deform into .x files? How you made animated tank track? Denis
i doubt path deform is going to be supported by any exporters.
you could bake the mesh into morph or vertex animation.
Or pick a different way to animate the object.

maybe skin and bones would work?

Yeh, I finally found some tutorial for animating a track with help of bones. Your idea about bones is correct.

THX,
