Perfect "Whatever" Crap

Why are people wanting to write the "perfect" rpg, or "perfect" first person shooter? I''ve seen 4 of these posts in the last week, and variations of them all the time. Just create an rpg, something that someone would enjoy playing. Why would you want to make a "perfect" game? Then you could never have a sequal as good, or surprise your audience...Just my thoughts.
Aim for the stars, even if you hit the moon.

Better is definitely something to aim for. I am so under-whelmed by all of the RPG''s that I have seen... Carry on
