Top-down Car Control ?
I posted a while ago in another group about a GTA type engine, I`m now after something simpler though. Although I have also posted the original message in here as I got little feedback.
I have my car rotating through 360 degrees, in 10 degree increments, which is a total of 36 frames (360/10)
I have tried and failed though, in getting the car to move realistically, and have searched everywhere for help.
I want to be able to accelerate the car, and use left/right to turn the car either way, depending on how fast it is going.
Very similar to the car control in Grand Theft Auto as it happens, but just the car control this time - not the huge engine that goes with it.
I know this uses Sin/Cos routines, but I have failed in getting anything close to good movement.
Could anyone give me any links or FAQ`s, or tell me the formula or code I need to use to get this.
